5 Bang for Your Buck Home Improvements

Home renovations can have a major impact on your wallet and it can be hard deciding which areas of your home to put the most time and money into and where to draw the line. If you’re thinking about selling your home in the near future you may need to consider making some improvements here and there in order to measure up to the other contenders on the market. When it comes down to it invest your time and money into the following five home renovations and you will get the biggest bang for your buck!

Kitchen- Everyone knows that the kitchen is the center of the average household. It’s where we cook and eat our meals, entertain family and friends, help children with homework, and so much more. The kitchen is the main selling point of any home. So if your kitchen has outdated appliances, counter tops, and cabinets, it will definitely be worth spiffing it up. A minor kitchen remodel could give 83% back of the money you put into the updates. In some cases a new kitchen gets you back everything you paid for the remodel and then some!
2.Master Bath- If you only have a few thousand dollars to spend upgrading the master bath, start by installing a frame-less glass shower enclosure. Simple changes such as new fixtures make a huge impact. Adding a new vanity, custom cabinets, and granite counter tops are things that buyers will appreciate most when it comes to master bath.
3.Paint- The interior of your home should be neutral with soft earth tones. Think about touching up the paint on the exterior as well if feasible.
4.New Flooring- No Homeowner wants to move into a house with dirty worn out carpet. If your budget allows for it, replace the existing carpet with new, neutral carpet. Although they are pricier, hardwood floors are timeless and classic and are often on the top of many buyer’s lists.
5.Curb Appeal- More than 90 percent of buyers decide whether or not they’re interested in a home before they even get inside. Why? Curb appeal. If you drive up to a home with peeling paint outside, a dingy driveway, and decaying landscaping, there’s nothing to catch your eye. So a low-cost way to jack up your curb appeal is to plant some flowers, give the front door a fresh coat of paint in a wonderful accent color, and maybe even install a new mailbox.
