Grades three through five make up the Intermediate School, middle school is grades six through eight and the high school is for ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth grades.  The Byron school district has been ranked number 23 out of 441 other Minnesota school districts receiving 5 out of 5 stars by SchoolDigger.com. Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo is a free 624 acre park located about 3 miles north of Byron. The park is open daily from 5 am to 10 pm and the zoo is open from 10 am to 4 pm. The park includes four picnic areas, 6 picnic shelters, playground equipment and a two acre natural playground. There are almost eight miles of hiking trails and 29 campsites available.
